Becky ‘Sui Zhen’ Freeman

Becky ‘Sui Zhen’ Freeman is an artist and creative producer working across audio, visual and interactive mediums. Within her music project Sui Zhen, Becky explores themes of memory, identity and the human relationship to technology. Over the years her eclectic taste and distinct conceptual interests have led audiences into surreal and uncanny terrains. As producer for Art Processors, she collaborates with programmers, designers and storytellers to meaningfully incorporate technology into visitor experiences for art galleries, museums and cultural organisations. Her goal is to inspire deeper engagement to artworks or artefacts by drawing on the emotive landscape, taking a cinematic approach to experience design.

Wominjeka (Welcome). We acknowledge the Yaluk-ut Weelam as the traditional custodians of the land on which we meet. Yaluk-ut Weelam means ‘people of the river camp’ and is connected with the coastal land at the head of Port Phillip Bay, extending from the Werribee River to Mordialloc. The Yaluk-ut Weelam are part of the Boon Wurrung, one of the five major language groups of the greater Kulin Nation. We pay our respects to the land, their ancestors and their elders—past, present and to the future.
