Berish Bilander

Berish Bilander is co-CEO of Green Music Australia, a non-profit organisation that facilitates and inspires musicians and the industry to make positive environmental changes to lead the way to a greener world. He has committed the better part of his adult life to climate and social justice, fighting back toll roads, promoting composting solutions, and working alongside refugee activists to close dehumanising offshore detention camps. When he’s not campaigning, Berish spends time with his toddler, teaches music, and tours as a freelance pianist for artists like Vika and Linda Bull and The General Assembly.

Wominjeka (Welcome). We acknowledge the Yaluk-ut Weelam as the traditional custodians of the land on which we meet. Yaluk-ut Weelam means ‘people of the river camp’ and is connected with the coastal land at the head of Port Phillip Bay, extending from the Werribee River to Mordialloc. The Yaluk-ut Weelam are part of the Boon Wurrung, one of the five major language groups of the greater Kulin Nation. We pay our respects to the land, their ancestors and their elders—past, present and to the future.
