Caliper Journal

Caliper Journal is an independent, youth-led architecture magazine based in Melbourne. It aims to act as a means of communication and engagement, and as a device to share a variety of architecture and design knowledge within younger generations. Its first edition, of its six-part first series, was published in 2017 by editors Lauren Crockett, Stephanie Pahnis, Nicola Cortese and Senesios Frangos. The sixth and final issue of this series, ‘LOVE’, will be launched at MPavilion this December by guest editor Laura Bailey.

Wominjeka (Welcome). We acknowledge the Yaluk-ut Weelam as the traditional custodians of the land on which we meet. Yaluk-ut Weelam means ‘people of the river camp’ and is connected with the coastal land at the head of Port Phillip Bay, extending from the Werribee River to Mordialloc. The Yaluk-ut Weelam are part of the Boon Wurrung, one of the five major language groups of the greater Kulin Nation. We pay our respects to the land, their ancestors and their elders—past, present and to the future.
