Hakan Elevli, Principal of Elevli Plus and leading an International design team headquartered in Melbourne, Beijing, Shanghai and Istanbul. Elevli Plus’s contemporary vision and innate creativity are translated into prestigious residential commissions, high-rise towers, commercial developments, and community and educational facilities. The scope of his portfolio reflects the diversity of his international experience.

Hakan’s recent collaboration with visionary architect Glenn Murcutt to design Australia’s first truly contemporary mosque in Newport, Melbourne, has been regarded as one of the world’s top cultural buildings. The project was showcased as the first architectural exhibition at the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) in 2016.

Yaluk-ut Weelam means ‘people of the river camp’ and is connected with the coastal land at the head of Port Phillip Bay, extending from the Werribee River to Mordialloc. The Yaluk-ut Weelam are part of the Boon Wurrung, one of the five major language groups of the greater Kulin Nation.
