Look: Photos from the MPavilion 2018 season so far

It’s hard to believe we’re more than halfway through our season of free events! And because this time of year is all about looking back, here we give you a selection of snaps from the program so far, taken by our talented team of photographers.

It would be an understatement to say that the community has embraced MPavilion 2018, designed by Barcelona-based architect Carme Pinós of Estudio Carme Pinós. We’ve been overwhelmed by your response to this year’s design and program, and we can’t wait to join you for more talks, workshops, multidisciplinary performances, interactive installations and kid-friendly experiences through the summer. Don’t forget, MPavilion is free and open every day except public holidays until 3 February 2019. Visit our program page to see what’s coming up.

MPavilion 2018, designed by Carme Pinós of Estudio Carme Pinós, is open in the Queen Victoria Gardens, Southbank Arts Precinct, from 9 October 2018 until 3 February 2019. Visit our program page to see what’s coming up. Be sure to follow us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter (use the hashtag #MPavilion) and sign up to our newsletter to get program highlights and news straight to your inbox.

Wominjeka (Welcome). We acknowledge the Yaluk-ut Weelam as the traditional custodians of the land on which we meet. Yaluk-ut Weelam means ‘people of the river camp’ and is connected with the coastal land at the head of Port Phillip Bay, extending from the Werribee River to Mordialloc. The Yaluk-ut Weelam are part of the Boon Wurrung, one of the five major language groups of the greater Kulin Nation. We pay our respects to the land, their ancestors and their elders—past, present and to the future.
