This event is now complete. If you want to revisit the talk, visit our Library, or subscribe to the MPavilion podcast via iTunes, Pocketcasts, Stitcher, Spotify, or wherever else you get your podcasts.

What is the source? It’s not something tangible, like a car or a phone. It’s intangible. It’s the feeling you get when you hear the first few seconds of your new favourite song. It’s the amazement you feel when you see a dancer at peak performance; the anxiety, wonder and fear evoked by a film.

Join us as musicians create cacophony and visual artists project their creations; dancers move to the rhythm of the music, and performance artists administer semi-ritualistic practices, communicating messages we need to hear. Grab an evening drop alongside the teams at South of the City and Stargazed Records to witness an immersive experience of music, dance, performance and visual art designed to overwhelm the senses.

Wominjeka (Welcome). We acknowledge the Yaluk-ut Weelam as the traditional custodians of the land on which we meet. Yaluk-ut Weelam means ‘people of the river camp’ and is connected with the coastal land at the head of Port Phillip Bay, extending from the Werribee River to Mordialloc. The Yaluk-ut Weelam are part of the Boon Wurrung, one of the five major language groups of the greater Kulin Nation. We pay our respects to the land, their ancestors and their elders—past, present and to the future.
