You’re invited to the Opening Night celebrations of MPavilion 2019 by Glenn Murcutt!

Join us in the Queen Victoria Gardens as we unveil Glenn’s lantern-inspired MPavilion with a little help from the RMIT Master of Fashion (Design) Graduate Showcase, DJ Sara Savage and your festive spirit.

Renowned soprano, composer and Yorta Yorta woman Deborah Cheetham AO has composed a brand new piece of work in Yorta Yorta language for the Acknowledgement of Country song. This is truly not to be missed.

MPavilion is an initiative of the Naomi Milgrom Foundation in partnership with City of Melbourne, Victorian Government through Creative Victoria and Development Victoria, and ANZ.

Wominjeka (Welcome). We acknowledge the Yaluk-ut Weelam as the traditional custodians of the land on which we meet. Yaluk-ut Weelam means ‘people of the river camp’ and is connected with the coastal land at the head of Port Phillip Bay, extending from the Werribee River to Mordialloc. The Yaluk-ut Weelam are part of the Boon Wurrung, one of the five major language groups of the greater Kulin Nation. We pay our respects to the land, their ancestors and their elders—past, present and to the future.
