This season, Melbourne-based not-for-profit Music in Exile will showcase work by Australian artists from a refugee or migrant background that are now living and working here in Melbourne.
Music in Exile will present a series free, all-ages performances, showcasing the work of these incredible artists. Each session will include a one-hour live performance as well as an opportunity to interact with and hear stories from these great musicians, encompassing a wide range of experiences, musical traditions and important stories.
Fresh from performing as part of Melbourne Music Week, Ausecuma Beats will bring their joyous and rhythmic grooves to MPavilion. Formed as a combination of musicians from Australia, the Senegambia region, Cuba, and Mali, the group stands for unity and shows its diversity in its musical influences. Don’t miss it!
